Before replacing the whole roof is unavoidable? We live in the desert so it doesn’t rain the often, but when it does it is a torrential downpour that brings the rain inside. My mate is resistant to spending money on a new roof (obviously if I had the money I would get it done). Is postponing the replacement doing more harm than good?

The light switch works just fine when it is not raining. The light switch is 25 feet away from the garage door opening and isn’t exposed to any rain.

Each time it rains, a little bit of water seeps under the tiles in our basement floor. Not much at all, but I’m wondering what type of carpet/ pad to get so that even that little bit, over time, won’t become mildew/ mold. I’d love any suggestions.

We are making a kennel for our dog, and we want to paint it hot pink.
It will be in shelter but the rain could possibly go onto it.
Will the paint peel off if we put it out in the rain?

What can stop it.
It’s on pillars buried in the ground. No rain lately. In fact, only about one rain the entire summer.
It’s also quite low to the ground.

I have heard that you can attach a strip of metal(zinc,galvanized,copper or ?) just below the ridge on shingled roofs to reduce mold/mildew forming. what do I use and how do I attach it and how much is exposed to rain? thanks

I have a leak in my apartment, but I live on the first floor with another apartment above mine and the management told me it was rain, they said it can leak through to the bottom apartment. I don’t believe this, can it happen and does it happen?

After a rain it has a white chaulky residual on it that comes off with scrubbing with a brush and water.

How can I prevent this from forming on top of the concrete?

i just bought a Honda gas generator model eu2000i. will it harm the generator to run it in the rain?

I am getting an awning, and I was wondering if Artisan Awnings is a good choice. Please tell me why or why not, also if their awnings aren’t good please give me another awning place thing you use. Thank you!
Money is not the problem here, I want an awning that won’t fall apart on me, in rain or snow.
