Will aluminum foil help brighten a shady spot for vegetables?

When I planted my veggies in the spring it was the sunniest spot, but I forgot to account for where the sun would be in the summer!! It is sunny until afternoon then in dappled sunlight, and I’m worried this is not enough light.
Will spreading foil under them help reflect any real amount of light back? I don’t see the harm in trying but if anyone has any experience with this I appreciate you sharing it.

Will a hole in the drywall pass a home inspection?

We just recently discovered that there is a hole in the one wall in our spare bedroom. It looks as if the previous owners just covered it up with a vent. However, when we had our FHA home inspection, there was nothing that was said about it. Now we are selling our house, and we have a home inspection this week. Will our house fail the home inspection because of it?

Will my strawberry plants come back this summer ?

I have three strawberry plants that produced fruit last summer. I brought them in in the winter and the leaves all turned brown and died. I watered them a little bit weekly. Will these plants come back this summer outside again?

Will my mini rose plant grow back next summer?

I bought this little mini rose plant at wal-mart this spring and it has grown really big and makes lots of blooms, but what do I do with it for fall and winter? will it grow back next year or do I bring it in the house?? Its in a big pot outside.
I live in Southern Louisiana and the coldest it gets is about 40 degrees
on a really cold night not everynight, sometimes we get freezes not often. Not like snow or anything

Will an apple tree that was cut down grow again?

We live in a fairly new area, and just had two young apple trees planted in our yard in June. Some idiots/vandals came by and decided to be funny and cut one of them down with a saw in the middle of the night. (Apparently they had been stealing trees in our area, but instead of stealing ours, cut it).

It’s just a stump, about 10 inches from the ground right now. Should we dig it up and put something else there, or will it regrow since it was fairly young still?

will putting egg shells around my veggie plants help keep slugs from getting to them?

how long will it take my pile to compost?

i have a pile of leaves, grass, sticks etc. on the side of my house and i wanna know how long it will take to compost. i put some veggie scraps and stuff to help it sometimes. how long will it take if i just leave it there and turn it every once in a while? and any suggestions to speed it up?
can i put everything in an old plastic garbage can?
my can is black but idk how many gallons it is

I am putting down black plastic on the lawn to kill the grass where I want my new flower bed. How long will it take for the grass to die so I can dig my beds? or any other suggestions to making the beds easier when I am starting from scratch and I am old and tired lol The bed I am making is about 10 x 40 it will have shrubs and tall fountain grasses, along with some annuals.
