I would like to install low profile 24"x 24" florescent light fixtures in a new lay-in ceiling in my basement. There are multiple ducts and pipes between the joist which make it almost impossible to use recessed lights and the lay-in ceiling will be 4 inches below the joist so the low profile florescent fixtures will work perfect but i would like to use dimmer switches and i heard they do not work together very well. Any suggestions would be welcome.

Also lettuce, will this be able to last through 20F. We have a garden and these plants are obviously still in the growing. Mainly this freezing temperature will be through the night.
The low 20F’s should last for about three nights. Then it warms up to about low to mid 40′s in the day time.

I have an idea for remodeling parts of my home. I want to move t he kitchen to a room adjacent to the livingroom and the dinning room, then open to two rooms to the kitchen. Where the kitchen is now will become a master suite I think. But the kitchen will become much smaller. How do you think this would affect my property value?

at one end of the 28 feet there will be around 6 courses of block and at the other end of the 28 feet there will be about 2 or three courses of block. Planning to use 6 inch thick block instead of 8 inch. How much in material, time , and labor. want at least high enough for crawl space.The lenght will be 52 feet. Thank you for your answers.

I was told to put the glue on the tongue then click into place piece by piece. Also, I do not want to use quarter rounds..just the baseboards that are 1/2" thick. I do not know how far to lay the underlayment to the wall. Also, I do not know what to put in between the baseboards and wood flooring…caulking, or glue, or nothing?

My neighbor believes that spreading vinegar on the wall of the building will repel dogs. I have heard other attributes to vinegar but not this. There may be a chance the vinegar will destroy the shine of the marble.

I decided to work on embroidery projects specifically for wall art, but I don’t know how to finish the edge of the fabric, do I glue it to the hoop (the hoop is wood), or just trim really close to the edge. I want it to be in the hoop permanently, but I want a finished edge, any help would be appreciated, thanks!
