Why do the bubbles in your bath disapear when you add soap?

Ive been wonerding about this since i was a kid. Why is it when your having a bubble bath, if you put a bar of soap in the water the bubbles disapear?

    Soap changes the surface tension of the water, and also "pushes" the bubbles apart. They aren’t strong enough to maintain their shape, so they pop and disappear.

    Bubbles in your bath disappear when you add soap because soap is thicker than water. Add bubbles when the water is running to make them last longer.
