Why is my Basil plant growing so so slowly?
November 20th, 2009 at 5:42I bought a little basil plant growing kit set like, 6 months ago, and the maximum height is still like 5cm still with tiny leaves. I water it about once a week (it never dries?) and whenever I can I put it in the sun (but inside the window because its too cold outside!). It looks quite healthy, but really, really, slow growth. The weather here is a little humid and cold. How can I make it grow faster?

The cold and shorter hours in the day will slow the growth.
Keep it warmer and extend its day with some additional lighting. A flourescent light should do nicely. Just put it on a timer and give it 12 hours of light a day and it should do great.
