What does it mean when the controls on an electric blanket start blinking?

September 30th, 2009 at 22:07

It’s only on for a few seconds before the blinking starts. It’s a sunbeam, and the website isn’t much help. Just wondering if someone out there has had this happen, and what they did.

This happened to me last night. My cord was unplug from the blanket. I had to plug it back in, then unplug and replug the controller.
If that is not the problem, it means that the wiring inside of the blanket is damaged and time for a new blanket.
